‘Aina Pono Hawai‘i State Farm to School Program

‘Aina Pono is the state of Hawai‘i’s innovative farm to school program to improve childhood health, support local agriculture, and boost Hawai‘i’s food security by increasing the amount of nutritious, fresh, local food served in school meals statewide, while increasing the number of students eating school breakfast, lunch, and other school meals. The program is a collaborative effort of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, the School Food Services Branch of the Hawai‘i State Department of Education, the Hawaii Department of Agriculture, and various private sector partners that have provided funding and consulting support.
