Adra Young

Adra Young has over twenty years of experience in and out of the classroom environment. Serving for the Detroit Impact center in Michigan as a Social Skills provider, she pinpointed the lack of resources available for youngsters available for both middle and high school students within the urban setting.  Creating a program that addresses the overwhelming concerns today's youth is faced with, and the solutions to address them on hand, it was well received by many Detroit students within the community.  During her years with the Detroit Public School System, she served as  a liaison for the "Conversation About Race" project which addressed the direct concerns of African American males as Eastern Michigan University.  Certified in Suicide Intervention, QPR Suicide Prevention, and Color it Real HIV and Substance Abuse Training, Young is the author of three books. Her latest book, The Misfits, is a fictional read based upon the middle school bulling experience. A presenter for the 2018 National Mentors Conference in Washington DC, she is the owner of Ardannyl, a company solely created to to help youngsters redirect their thought process through encouragement and guidance located within the north west region of Indiana.
