Adalah-NY: The New York Campaign for the Boycott of Israel is an all-volunteer grassroots group that organizes in support of the 2005 call by Palestinian civil society organizations for people of conscience to adopt boycotts, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) as tactics to pressure Israel to respect Palestinian rights.

Inspired by the South African anti-apartheid movement, the Palestinian BDS call urges the international community to maintain these nonviolent means of protest until Israel

1. Ends its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands and dismantles the Wall;
2. Recognizes the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality; and
3. Respects, protects and promotes the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN Resolution 194.
