ACCADA is a county-wide coalition of service providers, law enforcement officials, judges, survivors, academics, county representatives, advocates, and other interested community groups that convenes to develop an integrated community response to domestic abuse in Albany County.  Guided by the voice of survivors of domestic violence and their advocates, ACCADA focuses on the following goals:

•Com...municate a “zero tolerance” message from all parts of the criminal justice and service provision system to the wider community
•Develop regular communication and increased coordination among all parts of the system responding to victims and perpetrators
•Define and increase mutual understanding of the roles/limitation/mandates of all stakeholders
•Circulate updated information among participants and with the wider community on local programs, services, trends and the impact of domestic abuse on families
•Share and respond to updated information on legislative and/or regulatory changes (state and federal) and local impact
•Identify service gaps, duplication and other characteristics of the service system that impede its effectiveness
•Develop practical community response to the above
•Mobilize the community to acknowledge collective accountability and take action against the culture of violence
