Academy of Medical & Public Health Services

AMPHS is a humanitarian nonprofit organization operated solely by volunteers, dedicated to advancing the health care of underprivileged communities across the nation and around the world. We accomplish our goals by providing free and low-cost community activities that forge a firm foundation for the improvement of health and well-being.
Company Overview
AMPHS was founded on the fundamental belief that each person deserves access to medical care; that healthcare is a basic human right and not a privilege. The organization was founded in March 2010 by two undergraduate students at a New York City university. Holding the belief that resources should be better allocated to serve the underprivileged, they incorporated a non-profit with the goal of bringing healthcare education, programs, and events to underserved communities. In addition, the organization develops its own research projects to study healthcare systems in different communities in order to learn how it can better serve the general public. Today, AMPHS National provides monthly cardiovascular risk factor screenings for community members; prescription assistance and health insuranceassistance programs for the uninsured; pet therapy programs for terminally ill patients; educational programs and opportunities for the general public; as well as volunteer, internship, work, and leadership experiences for students and professionals.

AMPHS is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization, recognized as a public charity under the U.S. Treasury's Internal Revenue Code.
