In 2015, Irving Farm Coffee Roasters grew into a beautiful new space in Manhattan we've nicknamed The Loft, which has enabled us to greatly expand our education programs for both the seasoned professional and the curious coffee enthusiast alike.
We have two training labs that can open into one larger room, accommodating up to 18 people per class, as well as a Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) Certified Cupping Lab. We’re proud to be an SCAA Campus and offer coffee preparation & sensory skills classes from the SCAA’s Pathway Curriculum. Our labs feature an assortment of gear, including: Nuova Simonelli Aurelia, La Marzocco Strada EE, La Marzocco Linea EE, La Marzocco GS/3, Mahlkonig K30 Espresso Grinder, Mazzer Robur-E Espresso Grinder, Nuova Simonelli Mythos Clima-Pro II Grinder, Curtis Brewers, Colortrack Laser Reflectometer, an Infrared Cupping Lab, plus flatscreen monitors in each lab for presentations.
