Place Teen Center (MPTC) is an after-school program for youth ages 10-18. MPTC offers a multi-purpose, academically enriching, life-skills enhancing, youth development program that has been the focal point of Westbrook’s teen activities since its inception in 1998.

We provide a safe and fun haven for youth sustaining them with comfort, meals, resources and hope.  Our goal is that MPTC youth will have the academic, job readiness and life skills necessary to lead independent adult lives filled with stewardship, courage, passion and joy.

We offer a structured, supervised curriculum providing daily programming including service learning, mentoring, homework assistance, physical fitness, arts and crafts, Learning Technology Lab, cooking and nutrition, job and higher ed support and life skills training. We also serve healthy snacks (and an occasional cupcake!) and nightly dinners.
