The International League of Conservation Photographers (iLCP) is a 501(c)3 charitable organization whose mission is to further environmental and cultural conservation through communication initiatives that create vital content and disseminate conservation messages to a wide variety of audiences.  We believe that awe-inspiring photography is a powerful force for the environment, especially when paired with the collaboration of committed scientists, politicians, religious leaders and policy makers. We aim to replace environmental indifference with a new culture of stewardship and passion for our beautiful planet.

iLCP was established in 2005 with the simple goal of enlisting the skills and expertise of some of the best photographers in the world to advance conservation efforts around the globe. We are a project-driven organization that partners with leading scientists, policy makers, government leaders and conservation groups to produce the highest-quality documentary images of both the beauty and wonder of the natural world and the challenges facing it.  Our prestigious league of Fellows has expanded its reach to address the communications challenges of the conservation community at large. With a foundation firmly established in still photography, we have created and developed a host of communications tools that take advantage of modern means of communication, social networking and more importantly, that provide effective solutions for conservation messaging.

From expeditions to exhibitions, and from multimedia to social media, we focus on understanding the turn-key leverage points in a particular issue and using communications tools to create tipping points, convene audiences and move the conservation needle in significant and measurable ways.
