Dana Suchow is a writer, stylist, and activist.

Since overcoming bulimia and compulsive exercising that resulted in permanent injuries, Dana has become a champion for women’s rights, eating disorder issues, and body positivity. Dana originally founded Do The Hotpants in 2012 as a fashion blog, but in 2014 she realized fashion's unattainable beauty standards were fueling her eating disorder and decided to switch gears. No longer would she chase her superficial dreams of becoming a famous fashion blogger, and she now follows her true calling of educating, empowering, and uplifting anyone struggling with low self-esteem and bad body image.

Dana started the #MyBodyStory hashtag, which has been used on social media by thousands of women and men worldwide; each of them sharing their unique experience of what it’s like to live in their body.

Dana currently lives in Manhattan, New York, where she holds a Masters Degree in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. You can find her featured on Good Morning America, and in such publications as The Huffington Post, Vogue, Marie Claire, Seventeen Magazine, and Yahoo!.
