Organizing an event

Getting started with tracking pixels

Tracking pixels are an advanced marketing tool that lets you better track your attendee activity. You'll need to create a tracking pixel with an outside service, like Meta or Google. Then add the pixel to your event using our self-service tool.

Understanding tracking pixels

Tracking pixels are 1x1 blank images that send data.

Tracking pixels are invisible images that send data to your pixel provider. Use this data to understand your audience, retarget your online ads, and track the effectiveness of your ads.

Create and manage your pixels on another platform.

You won't be able to create a pixel on Eventbrite. Instead, use another platform to create a pixel and track the data.

If you have any questions about how to create or manage a tracking pixel, contact your pixel provider.

Understand tracking pixel limitations.

  • Tracking pixels aren't able to track every purchase. Purchasers who disable tracking or have advanced privacy settings won't have their activity tracked.

  • Attribution tracking and reporting are handled by your pixel provider. Eventbrite is unable to assist with these and other issues managed by your pixel provider.

  • Due to international regulations, tracking pixels are disabled when using Eventbrite's embedded checkout feature in certain regions, such as Europe and the United Kingdom.

Add your pixel to your Eventbrite event.

1. Find your pixel ID.

To add your pixel to Eventbrite, you don't need the entire pixel code. Eventbrite will automatically add the code to your event. You just need to enter in your pixel ID.

2. Add the pixel to your event.
