This workshop is truly open to anyone of all photographic skills, from novice to enthusiast.
All equipment will be provided, including camera-making materials and photographic paper. Just bring your imagination. (Lunch is unfortunately not included)
Added bonus: This workshop takes place on Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day and as such you will be entitled to upload one of your pictures for permanent inclusion on the online pinhole gallery which has an incredible archive of pinhole images from across the globe.
Overview
Introduction to pinhole photography followed by a step-by-step guide to making a pinhole ZOOM camera. Participants will then be shown how to load their cameras with black and white photographic paper and given tips on how to capture an image. After a short lunch it'll be back to the darkroom to develop the images including instruction on mixing photographic chemicals. With plenty of time in the afternoon to capture more images and try some exposure experimentation the day will end with a light-hearted review and discussion of the groups' photographic achievements.
You will get to keep your camera and all photographs you produce, to take home and impress your friends and families. A worksheet will also be provided so you can continue your pinhole photography at home if you feel inspired.
