Basic Zoom: 6-7 PM
We’ll cover the basic Zoom skills that you need to take or teach a course including joining, muting and unmuting, changing screen view and settings, troubleshooting your connection, chat, and more. There will be time for you to ask questions and try out your new skills.
Advanced Zoom: 7-8 PM
Now that you have basic Zoom skills, we'll cover breakout rooms, screen sharing (including photos and powerpoints), using the whiteboard, and more. There will be time for you to ask questions and try out your new skills.
Instructor(s): Lylee Rauch-Kacenski (co-owner of the Arnold Block) and Rebecca Sanborn Stone (Principal at Community Workshop LLC)
Materials to Have Prepared: If you're teaching a Bethel University class this year or have another class in mind, it will help to think ahead about the following:
- content (what kind of material you have, and how you hope to present it)
- logistics (how long your course will be, how many students you expect)
- format (what type of session you are imagining -- lecture, presentation, discussion, etc.)
- any questions about teaching!
Restrictions or Requirements: none
