The recent rise in COVID cases in Malawi coupled with existing challenges such as under-resourced medical facilities, a high prevelance of HIV/AIDS, and malaria have increased the pressure on an already fragile health care system.

On March 5th, Pamoza will be taking a closer look at healthcare in Malawi. We will be joined by medical doctor and public health practitioner Dr. Bridget Malawezi. Dr. B has been at the forefront of the public awareness campaign to slow the spread of COVID in Malawi. A graduate of the College of Medicine in Malawi and Emory University in Atlanta where she received her Master's in Public Health with a focus on Global Health, Dr. B has worked tirelessly to address quality of care and access to health information. She is especially passionate about women's health.
