Learn about the impact of artificial lights at night on human health and on birds. Our presenter will be Lawrence M. Faltz, MD MACP. Dr Faltz will discuss how artificial light spreads throughout the environment, the ways it affects our physiology, and impacts the health of humans and birds. He’ll also provide some guidance on how we can control it. More than 80% of Americans can no longer see the Milky Way from where they live. Artificial light at night has changed the way we live, sometimes for the better, but it also has had deleterious effects on our bodies, our minds and the behavior and survival of creatures with whom we share the earth.
