Description

PLEASE READ THIS IN ITS ENTIRETY BEFORE BOOKING:

Spend approximately 45 minutes with some of the animals that we have here at Zoo Chateau. This include interactions with Zayn the Zonkey and Chewey the Poitou Donkey, as well as horses, (baby) giant tortoises and rabbits. This encounter will include a chance to learn about the individual animals from our “Zoo Crew”, interact and pet the animals as well as feed some of them treats! As a guest, you will have the opportunity to take individual photos while feeding the horses their apples, carrots or other treats, and the rabbits and tortoises love their fruits and vegetables. This interaction will be a total of 45 minutes inclding signing liabity waivers/release of liability.

Please note that this interaction is not the best environment for children under three years old. If parents would like to have their children that are under 3 participate, please ensure that there is an adequate number of adults to trade off holding or watching the kids as the animals can react to crying and sudden movements. This is to make sure that you and our other guests get the most out of the interaction with our animals. Children of all ages will be charged a full ticket price due to the extremely limited space available.


The itinerary for the Donkey, Horses, Tortoises, Oh My! interaction will include:

- Safety orientation on how to interact with the animals (this includes the signing of liability waver)

- Depending on the day, the order of animal interaction is subject to change, however, guests will have the ability to interact, pet, feed and take photos with some of the animals unless deemed unfit for a particular animal to particpate in guest interactions on that day

- The Zoo Crew Representative will give information about the animals in general, and guests may ask any questions that they have

- Meanwhile, the rest of the group will be watching and will be able to take photos from the viewing area (or within the enclosure) while they await their turn, or after the conclusion of their turn

DISCLAIMERS: Here at Zoo Chateau, our first priority is our animal and guest safety. If for some reason we feel that it is not in the best interest of the animals or the guests, we reserve the right to cancel. In the event that Zoo Chateau cancels an interaction, guests will receive a voucher for a future date.

Please arrive on time as we will begin promptly. Entry may be refused to guests who arrive after the intended start time. Please wear clothes that you are okay with getting dirty, and come prepared to get dirt and wood shavings on your clothes.

Guests should be comfortable around all types of animals. Cats live on the property and occasionally dogs will also be present on the property. As a disclaimer, all animals are unpredictable and may be more or less interactive depending on the day. We do not force any of our animals to take food or interact with people.

Zoo Chateau is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property on the premises.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying legal guardian or adult assuming responsibility. Waivers/release of liability must be signed as soon as you enter the property, therefore minors cannot participate in this experience on their own. Since this is a legal document, ID may be required to be presented. This will be strictly enforced.

Can someone come observe and not participate for no charge?

No. Due to the limited amount of space and our intimate experience with our animals, unfortunately we cannot allow for people to just observe. Please email us directly if you have additional questions about this.


Weather Policy:

By purchasing this ticket, you understand that Colorado can have poor and unpredictable weather. In the event that Zoo Chateau cancels an interaction, a full refund will be given or rescheduling may be possible based on availability but is not guaranteed. Since many of our guests come from out of town, we try our best not to cancel interactions. We advise that you plan accordingly in the event of unpredicted weather. By giving refunds up to a week before the interaction, guests have the opportunity to check weather and get a refund if they are uncomfortable with the forecasted weather. Zoo Chateau reserves the right to turn guests away after being more than 10 minutes late to the interaction in order to be courteous to other guests on the tour and maintain our daily schedule.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? / Parking

As for transportation, personal vehicles and Uber or Lyft are the best options. It is the first property passed the gate so it is easy to locate.

Guest parking is clearly marked on the North side of the house. Guests are not permitted to drive past these signs and should not block the alley between the house and the barn.


What can I bring into the event?

We encourage you to bring a camera or phone for taking photos (no flash photography), clothes that can get dirty, and closed-toed shoes. Zoo Chateau shall not be held responsible for any lost, stolen, or ruined personal items while you are participating in the interactions or while presiding on the property.

What's the refund policy?

A full refund will be given if it is at least 7 days before the event. If it is after the 7 day mark, in special circumstances we may be able to reschedule but this is not guaranteed due to the high demand of these interactions. Please see weather policy for questions related to refunds/cancellations in the event of poor weather.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please have proof of ticket purchase when you arrive. This can be in the form of a ticket or just confirmation of payment and may be electronic or printed.

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you are able to update your registration information.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Your ticket can be purchased by or given to anyone. However, any additional email confirmation and information will go to the person who purchased the ticket. If you do sell or give your ticket to someone else, please ensure that they reach out to zoochateau@gmail.com in order to get their confirmation email.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes, we encourage you to purchase tickets for friends and family. However, if you give a ticket to someone else, please ensure that they receive all confirmation information associated with the ticket and that they have our contact information if they have any further questions.
