About this event

The San Francisco restaurant scene will come alive at Opening Night Dining, a ZinEX-clusive for invited Heritage Club members. You’ll choose a restaurant from such luminaries as Town Hall, Scoma’s Restaurant, or Piperade. Each dining experience will present a customized culinary feast with up to three winemakers hosting and a trend-defining menu made to order for Zinfandel at each location. It’s time to revel in the reunions and get reacquainted!

Scoma’s Restaurant

Located along the iconic Fisherman’s Wharf, a pier steeped in history and a continuing commitment to support local fisherman, Scoma’s has achieved legendary status, turning a hidden local hang-out into one of the nation’s highest grossing independent restaurants for over 50 plus years. Their pier to plate menu illustrates the timeless relationship between local fishermen and Scoma’s.  We’ll be gathering in the Bay-Marin Room, which takes its name from the spectacular views of Mt. Tamalpais and the Marin Headlands, Sausalito and the San Francisco Bay.

Town Hall

San Francisco and New Orleans are two cities known for culinary prowess, but the food is very different. Chef/owner Mitchell Rosenthal and his brother, Steven blend these two cultures effortlessly at this South of Market restaurant. Located in a century-old building, the restaurant makes the most of the brick walls and warehouse windows with modern touches. An elevator will whisk you up to the Private Dining Room on the second floor, which features exposed brick, cream wainscot, expansive windows and an eclectic collection of modern and traditional art.

Piperade

Chef Gerald Hirigoyen and his wife, Cameron showcase authentic Basque Cuisine to downtown San Francisco. They describe the restaurant as “West Coast Basque Cuisine,” bringing together these two cultures by incorporating fresh local ingredients into French, Spanish and Basque dishes. Piperade exudes a cozy ambiance that is perfect for outings with family and friends. We’ll be dining in the Lauburu Private Room, named after the ancient Basque cross that symbolizes spirit and life.
