Description

Join Sioux Falls Pride, Indievents and Club David, Wednesday, June 13, for the South Dakota Premiere of ZILLA AND ZOE.

A thoughtful, witty indie comedy about family, gender identity, and the importance of accepting each other for who we really are - Zoe, age 10, is obsessed with making horror films. A deadline for a big horror contest is coming up and Zoe is determined to win. But when her father, concerned about her increasingly gory activities, orders her to stop making horror films and shoot her sister’s wedding week instead, Zoe has no other choice…. To win the contest of her dreams, she will have to turn her sister’s wedding into a horror film. This film was shot in Portland, OR in the summer of 2015, by a female filmmaker with a dream of making unique, entertaining films outside the Hollywood studio system. The script was a quarterfinalist in Francis Ford Coppola's Zoetrope Screenplay Contest.

This film is currently in festivals and we are very excited to have the opportunity to share this wonderful family friendly film during our Pride week in Sioux Falls!

The screenings will be at 7 PM and 9:30 pm at Club David. Tickets are $8 in advance and $12 at the door.

Following the screening Jessica Scalisse and some of the cast will join us for a live audience Q and A via Skype!

We look forward to seeing everyone there!
