Description

This is an introductory course to macrame and weaving with a focus on using environmentally responsible materials. Gain information and insight into the history and production of textiles through the ages--including the impact the textile industry has on the environment today. Additionally, create a macrame and/or woven textile using recycled fabrics and salvage materials. This is both an educational and creative opportunity for those who are new to fiber arts and want to create something beautiful with what most people consider to be trash. 10% of proceeds to benefit indigenous arts and cultural organizations.

TICKET INFO:

Minimal - BRING YOUR OWN FABRIC - $50

Standard - Use Pallavi's collection of sari yarn and fiber - $65

Extra - Use Pallavi's collection, PLUS take home additional supplies to continue making at home! Supplies include handmade sari yarn, hand-spun yarn, hand-dyed rope/fiber, roving, and art yarn. - $85
