ZERO BALANCING I

Zero Balancing (ZB) touch therapy offers clients powerful benefits:

  • Profound release of emotional stress and physical tension
  • Improved joint function, comfort and range of motion
  • Relief from imprints of trauma and injuries
  • Expanded flow of energy and vitality
  • Deep calm and expanded awareness

 

This 4-day workshop is the first half of the Core Zero Balancing training program. It combines professional training for healing arts practitioners and a nourishing personal retreat.

You will learn:

A theory of energy anatomy and movement that synthesizes ancient Chinese and Indian systems with recent discoveries

How to touch body energy and structure with greater clarity and safety

To use your hands to create powerful fulcrums to clear body tension and injury patterns and unleash peace and vitality

How to feel below the superficial layers of skin and muscle to access "bone gold" - tension held in bone tissue

To inspire trust by making sensitive therapeutic connections with clients

To use touch to bring a person into an expanded state of consciousness similar to meditation

A protocol to offer a full-body Zero Balancing session

About Amanda


Originally a freelance writer, Amanda discovered ZB in 2002 and found the work profoundly transformational. She pursued ZB training and also entered massage school in 2003. She was certified in ZB in 2006 and joined the ZBHA faculty in 2012. She is co-author and co-editor of the book Experiencing the Power of Zero Balancing: Case Studies of Journeys to Health and Wholeness. She has a private practice in Salem, MA where she specializes in bodywork to address chronic pain, trauma and injury. Amanda's website: www.clearbodymind.massagetherapy.com


Class length: four days; 25 CE hours for MTs and acupuncturists (NCBTMB & NCCAOM) CEs for RNs and NPs through AHNA


Prerequisite: none; a Zero Balancing session is highly recommended

Zero Balancing Health Association

The Zero Balancing Health Association (ZBHA) was founded in 1991 to help people experience health, wellbeing and wholeness through the study, practice and development of Zero Balancing touch therapy.

The ZBHA offers advanced study continuing education programs to health care professionals who want to use skilled touch in their practices. Combining Eastern and Western approaches to healing, Zero Balancing is a powerful body-mind therapy that addresses the relationship between energy and structures of the body. In a session that typically lasts 30 to 40 minutes, the practitioner uses finger pressure and gentle traction on areas of tension in the bones, joints and soft tissue to create fulcrums, or points of balance, around which the body can relax and reorganize.
