Description

An Armenian-Inspired Dinner Experience

In advance of this year's Smithsonian Folklife Festival that features Armenian culture, Zaytinya and Head Chef Michael Costa are thrilled to welcome James Beard Award Winning Chef, Carrie Nahabedian, head chef and owner of Chicago's seven-time Michelin Star restaurant, NAHA. Chef Costa and Chef Nahabedian have collaborated to create an exclusive menu, highlighting ingredients and dishes from Armenia. Each course will be expertly paired with wines, some of them hailing from Armenia. Reserve your seat today for this one-night-only event!

A portion of ticket proceeds will be donated to The Armenia Tree Project, a non-profit program based in Woburn and Yerevan, that conducts vitally important environmental projects in Armenia's cities and villages and seeks support in advancing its reforestation mission.

About Chef Carrie Nahabedian

After departing her position as Executive Chef of the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, Carrie Nahabedian returned to her native Chicago to open NAHA in 2000, which garnered her a James Beard Award and seven consecutive Michelin stars. NAHA closed in March 2018 in anticipation of reopening in a new location later this year. Carrie opened Brindille in the spring of 2013 along with partner and cousin Michael; while NAHA highlighted her Armenian roots, Brindille's refined Parisian fare celebrates hers and Michael's favorite spots in Paris.

About the Smithsonian Folklife Festival
