Zambomba Flamenca
Overview
The ZAMBOMBA FLAMENCA is more than just an event; it’s a customary celebration that blends the festive spirit of Christmas with the passion of flamenco.
A tradition originally from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, this lively and unique evening will feature artists from California to Spain including:
María Bermúdez, Pepele Mendez & Friends
Co-hosted by Santa Barbara Historical Museum.
Artistic Director María Bermúdez has exposed audiences across the world to the unique style and sound of Jerez de la Frontera, Spain — recognized as the birthplace of Flamenco. In 2021 she was named Ambassador of Flamenco by her adopted city.
Special thanks to the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation, Towbes Fund for Performing Arts, Schlinger Family Foundation, Hazen Family Foundation, Timo Nuñez Arte Flamenco and Santa Barbara Historical Museum for their partnership and support.
