Hey everyone thanks for visiting our RSVP page.
For our 4th and final event for the year, we wanted to do something low key and laid back while also getting back to focusing on the purpose and goal of this committee: identifying and reaching out to our young and new members and, through our mutual shared experiences, educate and help each other as we make our way in what is a fulfilling, but often crazy, business.
With that said, we will be holding a potluck-style dinner on Saturday, December 3rd at the new home of our YWC treasurer Glenn Peison. We will be providing the main courses, turkey (baked, smoked, and fried!) and ham. We encourage you to bring whatever dish you would like. You can note when you register what you plan to bring and see what others are bringing so that we don't double and triple up on food. Unless it's pie or bacon.....it is impossible to have too much of either.
This is a great chance to socialize and network with your fellow brothers and sisters and get down on some fierce sessions of Mario Kart or Boccee, if the weather is nice. There is plenty of space in the house, patio, sunroom, and back yard, so please feel free to bring your +1. As defined by the International, our target demographic is the 35 and under crowd, but we would welcome and encourage those that are "older" but still young in film years to attend as well.
Let's all come together for a day and share our personal stories about how we ended up where we are and what we can do to help each other. We are all brothers and sisters. This is your committee, and we want to be here for you!
The YWC is charged with holding four events each year. So far this year we have had 3 successful events. Our first was The Oscar Party which was held at the hall. It was a great time for those who attended to celebrate the business we work in and recognize the achievements of our brothers and sisters both in front of and behind the camera.
Our second event was the YWC conference which was also held at the hall. Having 479 selected to hold this conference where hundreds of representatives from across the country and overseas was a tremendous honor and success.
Our third, and premiere event, was the Annual Kickball tournament. This year we had 16 teams compete. Through our combined efforts and our many gracious and supportive sponsors, we were able to hold a succesful 2nd tournament while raising over $27,000 for the Georgia Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
We hope you will join us for our 4th and final event this year!
