Event description

Description

The Youth Renewal Fund Fall Benefit, in its 17th year, has grown exponentially in size and success since its inception. Hosted and attended by emerging leaders in finance, start ups, real estate, technology and law, this year’s benefit is expected to raise more than $100,000 in support of Darca, Israel’s leading network of schools. Over 150 guests are expected to attend the event which will be a casino night with open bar, passed hors d’ouevres, raffle, DJ & more.

All proceeds from this year’s event will specifically support Darca school Mekif H’ Ashkelon one of the 40 schools within the network working to provide the students with the best education possible.

Darca Mekif H’ High school is a six-year middle & high school in Ashkelon. This schools serves a diverse student population both academically and in terms of socio-economic background. The school believes that excellence should be a quality routine. They empower their students through education for formative leadership, while simultaneously addressing the diverse population, fostering academic achievements and instilling values with a constant aspiration for personal and social excellence.

Youth Renewal Fund and Darca Schools Overview: Youth Renewal Fund is the philanthropic funding partner for Darca Schools in Israel, investing in an innovative education throughout Israel’s most under-served communities as a means of improving social mobility.

The past several years of partnership between Youth Renewal Fund and Darca have led to incredible success. Today, Darca is ranked the number 1 educational network in Israel and recently 12 Darca schools have been awarded the Ministry of Education’s top high school hDarca provides Israeli high school students in lower income communities—regardless of ability, religion, birthplace, geographic or socio-economic status—an excellent education designed to improve social mobility. The schools emphasize academic achievement and the values of tolerance, democracy and active participation in national and community life. Israel currently faces one of the largest and fastest growing gaps in educational achievement between rich and poor. An under-educated population puts Israel’s predominantly knowledge-based economy at risk. Through Darca schools, Israeli children discover and harness the power of education as a means to improve quality of life for themselves, their communities and their country.
