Description

George Wommack has spent the past decade intricately involved in various stages of oil and gas service industry where he has been instrumental in building various private equity backed and privately funded oilfield service companies. He is the founder and CEO of Petro Waste Environmental LP (PWE), one of the largest oil & gas solid waste processing and disposal companies in Texas with a footprint spanning the entire Permian Basin as well as a presence in the Eagle Ford Shale. PWE specializes in large scale infrastructure projects which serve the oil and gas exploration and production industry through the processing and disposal of drill cuttings, contaminated soil, drilling fluids, tanks bottoms, flow back water, produced water and other E&P waste under the jurisdiction of the Texas Railroad Commission.

With Petro Waste, Mr. Wommack has built a successful company with an exceptional team of employees in San Antonio, the Permian Basin and South Texas. He has ensured Petro Waste is well-capitalized, with minimal debt, enabling the company to excel in not only the recently depressed market but also through the current recovery. This solid financial base has afforded PWE the flexibility to maintain long-term growth priorities and focus on providing the best solutions to fulfill customers’ needs.

Prior to founding PWE, Mr. Wommack played an integral role in the expansion of a salt water disposal business into the Eagle Ford Shale as well as New Mexico. He was active in market research, location sourcing, and permitting of saltwater disposal facilities in South Texas and was also involved in a management role overseeing operations for a large portfolio of active facilities. In New Mexico, Mr. Wommack sourced and assisted in the acquisition process of a large portfolio of established salt water disposal facilities in key geographical locations.

During this phase of expansion in the salt water disposal industry, Mr. Wommack established Petro Waste Ventures LLC and Petro Waste Partners, LP as vehicles to raise equity for the investment into non-operated salt water disposal interests in South Texas. He is also founder and president of Fortress Holdings, LLC, a real estate holdings company specializing in investments in retail and shopping center properties in Central Texas. Additionally, Mr. Wommack serves as the manager of Casa Cielo, a boutique luxury resort rental property located in Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

Mr. Wommack has been recognized for some of these achievements which include being named to the San Antonio Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list in 2016, and being featured as Texas CEO magazine as a Texas Millennial CEO leading a New Generation of Business. Additionally, he has lead Petro Waste Environmental to be named to the list of “Best Places to Work” by San Antonio Business Journal for 2015, 2016 and 2017 as was also named as a finalist in the Oil & Gas Awards in the “Future Industry Leader” category in 2016.

Mr. Wommack is a leader in the San Antonio community, active in numerous organizations and endeavors benefitting business, education, and the arts. He is a member of the San Antonio chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) as well as the Rotary Club of San Antonio where he has served on the Young Members’ Board and as a chairmen for the Norman Vestal Scholarship Committee. He and his wife, Christen, are involved in many of the city’s cultural and educational institutions, including St. David’s Episcopal School, the Alamo Heights School Foundation, the Witte Museum and the San Antonio Zoo. Mr. Wommack graduated from The University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business with a degree in finance.
