Alexis Rogers, WISH-TV anchor
Alexis Rogers is a Murrow and multi-Emmy award-winning storyteller, anchoring the evening news at WISH and co-hosting All Indiana. Born and raised in the Chicago area, Alexis is a graduate of the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism, a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and the National Association of Black Journalists. She is also the founder of Lisa’s Girls, a mentoring program for young women.
Myra Selby, J.D., partner at Ice Miller
Myra Selby, former associate justice of the Indiana Supreme Court, has a broad-based practice with a focus in corporate internal investigations, compliance counseling, complex litigation, risk management and more across various industries. She serves as an advisor for large institutional clients as well as individuals and is a trained commercial mediator and arbitrator.
Myra has the distinction of being both the first woman and the first African American to serve as an associate justice on the Indiana Supreme Court. While on the Court in 1995-1999, Selby participated in several landmark decisions involving state property taxes, insurance and tort law reform. In 1999, the Indiana Supreme Court appointed Selby to chair its Commission on Race and Gender Fairness, charged with ensuring fairness and diversity in the legal system.
Judith Thomas, Indianapolis Deputy Mayor of Neighborhood Engagement
A passionate strategic planner with strong interpersonal communication skills, Judith focuses on connecting stakeholders and audiences through strong consistent messaging and brand awareness. The focus produces outcomes and results that build strong relationships through listening and understanding stakeholder's needs and goals. Over 30 years of experience in tourism, convention planning, sports marketing, and the art & culture community in Indianapolis, the State of Indiana and across the country. Born in Gary, Indiana, Judith Thomas attended North Central High School in Indianapolis and graduated from Butler University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public and Corporate Communications. Judith worked as an event coordinator at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome from 1992 to 1998. She spent 1998-1999 at Emmis Communications as an account executive for the flagship station 97.1 WENS. In the fall of 1999, Judith became Director of Marketing at the National Federation of State High School Associations. In 2005 Judith joined Visit Indy as Director of Convention Services and in 2018 became President of the Madam Walker Legacy Center. In July of 2020 Judith established herself as a Cultural Architect by creating Judith & Co., a consulting firm focused on celebrating the rich diversity of Arts, Culture & Tourism. She currently serves as Deputy Mayor of Neighborhood Engagement for the City of Indianapolis.
Linda Calvin, J.D., Consultant, Tech Diversity and Talent, Facilitator, Speaker at Transcend Consulting
Linda Calvin is a 20-year veteran of the private IT sector with strengths in communication, law, digital development, and global tech leadership. Linda is a tech consultant for Transcend Consulting where she provides counsel on designing diverse tech talent pipelines, facilitating panels on tech opportunity and speaking on issues of diversity and empowerment. Most recently Linda served as the IT sector vice president for the School of Information Technology at Ivy Tech Community College.
She holds many board and volunteer positions including Executive Women’s Forum Director for Women & Hi Tech, volunteer Guardian ad Litem and board member for Kids’ Voice of Indiana, the Indiana Technology and Innovation Association (ITIA), as an advisory board member for The Guarden LLC, the Six Sigma Racial Equity Initiative in Indianapolis and the Digital Fluency Council for Franklin College.
