About this Event

Join the members of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., Zeta Gamma Sigma Chapter for our annual Youth Symposium at Scott Middle School.

Held each year in the month of March by each Alumnae Chapter, simultaneous Sigma Gamma Rho Youth Symposiums address issues that impact our youth today. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. is committed to educating and equipping our youth with the necessary tools needed to become informed and engaged citizens. This symposium will provide middle and high school students with an opportunity to hear stimulating speakers and participate in open forum discussions concerning their community, college and career goals with their peers, and community leaders. Our goal is to provide critical tools the participants can use today and in the future. We are confident when given the opportunity to actively participate in these kinds of discussions and experiences students are encouraged to take an active role and ownership over their lives and community.

This year we will feature professionals from multiple careers, along with local youth activist: Aaliyah Stewart—founder of The ASW Foundation, INC.
