Event description

Description

An interactive day with youth, families and communities learning about the Cradle to Prison Algorithm. The Cradle to Prison Algorithm is an emerging technology trend in education that expands the school to prison pipeline wider and younger. The City of St. Paul, Ramsey County and St. Paul Public Schools have entered into an agreement that shifts decisions about children away from educators and families to a computer algorithm that predicts a child’s risk for future involvement in the criminal justice system creating our own local Cradle to Prison Algorithm.

At the summit attendees will:

Learn about the Cradle to Prison Algorithm

Ask questions and share concerns with other youth, parents and community members

Tackle technological language that gets in the way of defending our children’s education.

Hear from national leaders and local community members

Be teachers and learners

Practice Pushing Back!
