Sometimes, first aid isn't a bandage, or CPR, or the Heimlich, or calling 911.
Sometimes, first aid is YOU!
Youth Mental Health First Aid is an 8 hours interactive training that teaches a 5-step action plan to offer initial help to young people showing signs of a mental illness or in a crisis. YMHFA addresses the normal changes in adolescents and helps you recognize those changes that may be a sign or symptoms of a mental illness or crisis. Anyone (coaches, parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches, neighbors, spiritual leaders, aunts/ uncles...) that works with, loves, or knows a youth ages 12-18 is invited to attend this training. Aunt Martha's has been awarded a grant from SAMHSA to bring this training (valued at approximately $170. per person) to you completely free. If this training date does not work for you, please contact me to schedule a training date.
Sometimes, the best first aid is you. Take the course, save a live, strengthen your community.
