Event description

Description

Do you work or volunteer with youth? Are you a parent or caregiver of a teen? If so, you're invited to our next Youth Mental Health First Aid course!

Just like CPR training, Mental Health First Aid prepares you to recognize the signs and symptoms of distress and connect a youth with the help they need. Mental Health First Aid trainings empowers adults who engage with adolescents to respond compassionately and directly when a youth experiences a mental health challenge or crisis.

Topics covered in this course include typical adolescent development, potential signs and symptoms of mental health conditions, and a simple (but not easy!) 5-part plan for support. All attendees receive a manual, local resources, and complimentary breakfast and lunch as part of this free training!

This training is held over two days from 9am-1:30pm. Attendance at both days is necessary to receive certification.
