Youth Mental Health First Aid Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent.

  • The training is offered by EdAdvance thanks to a federal SAMHSA grant.
  • The training is designed for individuals who do not have advanced training or education in the mental health profession.
  • Participants are required to attend both days of the training to receive certification.

Remember the sobering statistic that suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death our 15-24 years olds. Encourage older youth, 11th grade and up to attend as teens often confide in their peers first and with proper training these youth can be equipped to intervene.

Thanks for being a part of this important effort to raise awareness and educate so that mental health is better understood and individuals get help sooner.
