Youth Development League & Soccer Skills | Chatham 2017
Fri, May 12, 2017, 5:00 PM – Fri, Jul 14, 2017, 5:00 PM EDT
The Soccer Skills Spring/Summer Soccer Program is a great environment for young players to learn and develop their individual skills and then practice those skills in fun but competitve games. Our sessions are split into two with half the session being instruction, practice and coaching and the other half competitive fun games.
Our primary focus is on teaching and developing the Skills each player needs in order to be able to play the game and enjoy it more. Skills and Instruction first, games second! We are here to teach and give instruction although we also have a fun and competitive game component too, so players can develop their skills then try and put them into practice in the games after.
Players are split into groups based on their Skill level so we can make the practice and instruction suitable for level of skill and play
Our outdoor program follows the same Individual Skills Development curriculum that we have been developing and using for our indoor Fall and Winter Skills Programs for the past 5 years
Skills practice and Instruction is run by our qualified paid Soccer Skills Instructors
All players will get lots of time with a ball at their feet, lots of touches and practice in this part of our sessionYouth Development
Teams are selected after the first week by our instructors to ensure they are as competitive as we can make them
Teams are selected based on the Skill level of the players attending, our goal is to have close competitive games every week
More skilled players are moved up to the next age group to ensure they are being challenged and improving their game rather than dominating the games
All players play every minute of every game, we do not have subs and players sitting on the sidelines
All players will get a chance to play different positions thoroughout the season
ALL Teams are coached by a paid qualified Soccer Coach
Games are actually coached, we will stop the play at times and gives players appropriate instruction about the game for their comprehension level.
