Event description

Description

As an artist, managing your finances may not be the first thing that comes to mind. However, giving thought to budgeting and financial planning, both as an individual and artistic business, can have a big impact on career success.

Get organized and prepare for the future. Join TALA as we discuss:

  • Personal household budgeting

  • Budgeting for your artistic practice and paying yourself

  • How to prove income for a loan or mortgage

  • Small business and personal loans

  • Savings and retirement options

  • Insurance tips

Meet the speaker, John Puailoa, CFP®:

John Puailoa is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and active board member for Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts. John toured as a musician for 5 years before going back to school to learn music production and engineering at the Berklee College of Music. John found a love for personal financial planning and has spent the last 8 years in the financial services industry, providing personal investment management and financial planning to select families and businesses. John is married with a three year old son, and when he is not working or with his family he performs with his 13 piece cover band.
