About this event
The Mid-Atlantic Section of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) is organizing the AIAA Region I Young Professionals, Students, and Educators (YPSE) Conference, to be held Friday, November 15th, 2019 at the Kossiakoff Center on the campus of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland.
Technical presentations in any area of interest to the aerospace community by Young Professionals (age 35 and under), Graduate, Undergraduate, High School students, and Educators are sought. Awards will be given to exceptional presentations in various categories.
Volunteers needed! We need volunteers to serve as judges and to support the conference's logistics. Those interested need only contribute 2 hours of their time in exchange for 50 % off the registration cost. Volunteer for 2 hours and then participate in the rest of the conference.

What are my parking options for the event?
Parking will be available on the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory campus.
What if I need a hotel?

What is the attire?
Business casual is recommended.
Do I need to be an AIAA member to attend?
No! Anyone in the aerospace field is welcome to attend and either present their work or see what others around the industry are doing.
Am I a Young Professional?
AIAA considers anyone 35 and younger as a Young Professional.
If I am a student part-time as well as a Young Professional, what should I register as?
In order to register as a student, you must be a student full-time.
What do I need to do if I want to present?
If you would like to present, please indicate that with your registration and submit an abstract when requested. A full presentation will then need to be emailed to aiaa.midatlantic@gmail.com before Friday November 8th.
What can I present on?
All topics related to the Aerospace community are welcome! Make sure all presentations are sent through the proper public release channels before the event.
Can I present as a part of a student group?
Yes!
What should I do if I want to volunteer?
Please select the volunteer option when you register and check all of the things you might want to help out with. In order to be a judge, please email aiaa.midatlantic@gmail.com with your name, affiliation, technical background, and years of experience beyond a bachelor's degree (e.g. under 1, 1-5, 5-10, 10-20, 20+).
When does registration close?
Presenters must submit their abstracts by October 25th at 11:59 PM and registration closes on November 1st at 11:59 PM.
