Event description

Description

Often when people hear the word addiction, they think of struggles with drugs or alcohol, but addiction is possible in other behaviors and activities as well. When an activity or behavior becomes the main focus of one’s life at the expense and detriment of other activities, it is an addiction. This is seen more and more in sexual behavior, including sexting, viewing pornography, etc.

People don’t often talk about sexual sin, sexting, and pornography, but they affect the lives of so many people, including our young people. Join us on May 9th to look at how these things affect teens and how to help those who struggle with sexual sin in various ways.

Our speaker is Fr. Sean Kilcawley. He is the Director of the Office for Family Life for the Diocese of Lincoln and serves as theological advisor for Integrity Restored. This is a non-profit agency that provides education, training, and resources to assist the Church in bringing hope and healing to individuals, spouses, parents, and clergy who have been affected by pornography.

The event is from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Sacred Heart Major Seminary and includes lunch. The cost for the event is $15 per person. Sign-up by May 2nd.
