Event description

Description

Ad Astra Stables is proud to host a benefit clinic for the Markel USEF Young Horse Program featuring the National Young Horse coach Christine Traurig and USEF Sport Horse and 'S' Dressage judge Arlene Rigdon!

Each morning will start with an hour and a half long presentation and discussion by Arlene about conformation, biomechanics, and how to select the ideal young horses for Dressage. Christine will then follow with seven lessons ranging from Four year olds to Grand Prix horses teaching us how to best cultivate and develop our young horse stock up through the levels.

Tickets to audit are $50/day and include lunch. Please specify which day or days you will be attending. If you are interested in riding please email Rebecca at RigdonandBlakeStables@gmail.com. Lesson fees are $250.00 all of which of course will be donated directly to USEF. We are including horses and riders of all levels, so please don't be shy!

We will also have several factastic sponsors that will be participating in a silent auction that will take place just before the last ride on Sunday. Some of our sponsors will include Horse and Rider Boutique with a lovely pair of Deniro boots, a flight up the west coast in a private two seater plane, a weekend getaway in Vegas, the LHB entire line of skin products, and the stunning Mastermind breeches just to name a few. Saturday afternoon following the clinic Markel Insurance will be hosting a party with champagne, hors d'oeuvre's, and a DJ on our patio area right next to our arena! This event will not only be helping our future potential Olympic hopeful horses and riders in the US, but it will give you a wealth of knowlege and be FUN!
