Young Green Tech (YGT) is an exchange program empowering young creators and entrepreneurs to address environmental challenges through scalable solutions and cleantech innovation. Each year, YGT provides a select group of transformative green startups receive training from prestigious institutions, access to high net worth philanthropists and entry into tech-exchanges around the world. Young Green Tech(YGT) NYC Summit is the key to unlocking opportunity. At the summit, YGT will present six inspiring green startups across the world, including the winners of 2019 YGT Competition. The goal of the summit is to bring together young entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and investors to discuss sustainability-focused innovation and develop a clear pathway toward real and impactful change.

This event is part of Climate Week NYC 2019.

Public Showcase: YGT entrepreneurs will present their innovative solutions to climate change and promote their technologies to leaders and experts across different industries.

Networking: Participants will have the opportunity to access founders, leaders, and investors of green startups and green entrepreneur support organizations.

Founder of PeroPure

From disaster relief to home cleaning, PeroPure is dedicated to providing efficient portable small water sterilization and decontamination devices. This venture team from Stanford University and the University of Illinois holds the core technology of electrocatalytic hydrogen peroxide synthesis.


Since the beginning of the YGT Young Green Tech Competition 2019 on March 8th, more than 100 applicants had participated, with projects originating from 15 countries and regions. The 20 entrepreneur finalists showcased many technologies such as blockchain, Internet of Things, big data, as well as Eco-energy, sustainable development, and other promising developmental fields. The innovative and environmentally friendly projects presented through the YGT competition are not only closely related to people’s daily work and life but also make an influence towards the future development of knowledge and economy, highlighting the younger generation’s impact upon the future of the environment.
