Event description

Description

How do we create an inclusive tech ecosystem and provide access for entrepreneurs of color? This session will help Oakland entrepreneurs discover, test, and utilize tech tools that can increase revenue sources or decrease operational costs.

Learn how you, too, can build a tech startup. It's better to be a business that happens to have an App instead of an App that happens to have a business. In this workshop, we will help demystify tech entrepreneurship from a hands on approach learning practical prototyping techniques leveraging tech tools readily available and affordable.

This session is ideal for business owners who:

  • Need to reduce operational costs
  • Increase customer base and profit
  • Leverage technology more intentionally in their business model

Presented by:

Kapor Center

The Kapor (pronounced KAY-por) Center for Social Impact aims to make the technology ecosystem and entrepreneurship more diverse and inclusive. We are particularly interested in positive social impacts for communities that have historically been on the periphery of access to opportunity, participation and influence in the United States.
