The great event is swiftly approaching. “You Can’t Just Be Pretty: Merging Brains, Beauty, and Substance” Panel Discussion and Forum related to the knowledge and experience that you have acquired pertaining to why others feel that it is necessary for them to incorporate sex appeal with their growth in a work environment. This event will connect women and girls with ideas associated with maintaining their dignity while evolving in the profession that they seek to pursue.


Attendees will also discover ideas for prospering with dignity in addition to why displaying flirtacious practices is thought to be so prominent and necessary for professional growth. Because all panelists have achieved wonderful accomplishments, your stories and thoughts will be admired and thought provoking for others to consider the decisions they hope to make now or in the future.

Raised in Hollywood, CA, Kaneisha Northern is an award-winning social entrepreneur, speaker and advisor with proficiency in empowering women and girls, organizing, leadership development, program management and strategic planning. She has devoted a great deal of her time to promoting nonprofit organizations and empowerment programs that assist women and teen girls.

 

Kaneisha’s knowledge with developing nonprofits includes the social venture Grad Girls Network Inc. She founded the organization in 2008 to shape underserved teen girls into active and well informed high school graduates who empower their peers to complete high school. Grad Girls has reached many girls at several high schools in Los Angeles.

As a highly effective woman, Kaneisha has served as Director of Public Relations for Miss Malibu USA, a preliminary to Miss California USA. She later served as the VP of Membership for the Hollywood chapter of Business and Professional Women (BPW) and has also served as a guest speaker for Hollywood High School’s Young Feminists Club.

Kaneisha’s highly recognized accomplishments led her to being well known as a motivational figure within her community. Her inspirational messages and commitment to helping the personal growth of both women and girls allowed her to be selected in representing Young Business and Professional Women in the state of California at the International Congress of Business and Professional Women Conference in Las Vegas, NV.

In addition to being featured on KTLA Channel 5 News’ “Heroes at Home” news segment, she has been honored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce as one of their first “Heroes of Hollywoodrecipients for her community efforts and has been honored by Ebony Magazine in partnership with Pine-Sol as an Unsung Hero” for their Powerful Difference Campaign. Her efforts have also been awarded by the California Legislature Assembly with the Certificate of Community Recognition, United State Congress, Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition, County of Los Angeles, Community Commendation, and the City of Los Angeles, Hollywood Community Service Award.
