Hands on workshop in the farmhouse kitchen, learning all the skills necessary to safely preserve food using hot water bath and pressure canning techniques. All supplies and equipment provided. Participants take home one quart jar of each batch of preserved food.
Workshop is suitable for persons over 14 years of age and the class is limited to 6 people. Must have 3 enrolled to hold class. Cost is $65/person.

About the organizer
Providence Farm is a small farm located just outside Greensboro, in McLeansville, North Carolina. We are a few miles north of I-85/40, just north east of the 785 bypass. The farm is populated with rare, heritage breed sheep, miniature dairy goats, Tamworth pigs, and a ridiculous amount of poultry. Responsible, sustainable stewardship in a predator friendly, pasture based regenerative system is what we're all about. We offer pasture raised poultry, pork, & lamb, as well as free range chicken eggs, various fiber related goods from our sheep, and other artisan goods from local producers.
