Description

On a mission to end bullying, The Adventures of Timmy Tumbully children’s book series has expanded their influence to include a “You Belong” Camp for children. The goal of The Adventures of Timmy Tumbully Foundation, Inc is “to inspire change through the arts by writing stories and music that can change the world.”

Founder Kati Hendricks, along with team members Tara Hayes and Betsy Walter, hope that by hosting the “You Belong” Camp, they will provide a safe-haven for those who have been bullied, as well as a place of self-awareness for those who have bullied. The launch of the camp will take place on Saturday, September 22 from 2pm - 5pm at the Peachtree Farms in Arrington, TN.

"You Belong” Camp activities include live music, arts & crafts, face painting, horse therapy, and re enactment of scenes from The Adventures of Timmy Tumbully book series describing different bullying situations and how to address them, as well as scenes from the musicals. Music will feature a special performance by Nashville recording artist Olivia Bey, accompanied by Garth Brooks bandmate Jimmy Mattingly, as well as acoustic performances by rocker Doug Lawler and Audra McLaughlin of The Voice. The Camp will also serve as a sanctuary for children with ADD, ADHD and Autism, who are often subjects of bullying, building confidence through various activities.

This launch event is open to the public and for children of all ages.

The Adventures of Timmy Tumbully Foundation, Inc is a 501(c)(3) organization.
