Greetings Lumberton and surrounding areas!

Come join us at this powerful, personal, and purposeful You Are More Than Enough! Mental Health and Wellness Symposium. All are welcome and my hope is that each attendee walks away with an enhanced sense of well-being.


Multiple mental health and wellness professionals from as far as Pitt and Pender counties and as local as Cumberland and Robeson counties will be joining us to speak on topics ranging from the journey of coping with stage five kidney failure to dealing with challenges of anxiety and vulnerabilities.

Host: Veronica L. Hardy, PhD is a licensed clinical social worker, university-level educator, public speaker, and writer.

Speakers:

Daria M. Bannerman, MSW is a motivational speaker and advocate for persons with disabilities. As a social worker and writer, she has a creative talent for encouraging others to pursue their personal and professional passions. Even more so, she credits the grace of God as the reason why she can speak on these matters. During this event, she will engage you in a discussion about uncovering and moving beyond the obstacles that are in your path.

Kenneth A. Joyner, MSW, LCSW has over ten years of experience providing direct care services to individuals with mental health and development diagnoses. As the co-owner of a private practice in Greenville NC, he has a passion and clinical interest in working with young men who have experienced significant trauma in their lives. Furthermore, he carries extensive experience focusing on anger management, behavioral and trauma-related issues. He is drawn to enlightening others about overcoming anxiety and the fear of rejection.

Shnika Davis, MSW, LCSW, LCAS-A is a clinical professional with a private practice located in Fayetteville, NC. She provides services across the spectrum including relationship counseling, chemical dependency evaluations, and group counseling. She responds to life challenges ranging from anxiety, life adjustments and addictions, to domestic violence and self-esteem. During this event, she will engage you in a discussion about the challenge of vulnerabilities.

Carlotta M. Winston, BS is a health educator and enthusiast, motivational speaker, survivor and social justice advocate against childhood sexual abuse, and supporter of the What I Be Project that focuses on empowerment through story and photography.

Troy Love, MSW is an alumnus of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, newly married to Mrs. Natural Love – an advocate and mentor for adolescent females, and he is an advocate and mentor for young males. Mr. Love seeks to share the message that change is not immediate but occurs through consistency and perseverance. During this event, he will share his struggles and triumphs during his four-year tenure with stage five kidney failure.
