Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) invites the Small Business Community to a series of informational meetings about how to become a BART certified vendor. BART is implementing measures to increase the amount of Federal and State funded projects and routine BART purchases made directly with Bay Area small business. Now is the time to learn and act upon this tangible opportunity to become certified and add BART to your customer base!
Who should attend? Anyone interested in finding out how BART’s Board of Directors has implemented new policies intended to have a direct economic impact in the local community through increased expenditures made with small business.

Meet members of BART’s Office of Civil Rights there to assist all Small Business Enterprise (SBE) with an orientation about how BART will increase small business support within the Federal and State funded project bidding process. They will also orient SBE’s on the variety and breadth of purchases made by BART which could be diverted to local small business certified to do business with BART and participating in one of our new initiatives. Staff will also explain the online resources and technical support available to make the certification process easy. Encouraged to attend are women,Veteran, Disabled or Minority small business owners who qualify as a BART Certified Small Business Enterprise (SBE).
