YOLAH! (YOUTH OF LA HABANA)
A visual journey inside Cuba's African Diaspora
Miami, FL, November 7, 2016– The Miami Urban Contemporary Experience in conjunction with Miami-Dade County Dept. of Cultural Affairs has synergized together to bring a dynamic cultural experience through photographic motifs of Cuba's youthful African Diaspora. YOLA! Is one of three installations being curated at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center. Photographic works of YOLAH! are produced by emerging visual artist LeRoy Hazzard. The exhibition will have a grand reception, opening on Saturday, November 26th, 2016 at 6pm and will run through the holiday season up until January 5th, 2017. YOLA! Will also include a Celia Cruz memorabilia exhibition, sponsored by The Celia Cruz Legacy Foundation and works by visual artist Saddi Khali.

ABOUT AFRICAN HERITAGE CULTURAL ARTS CENTER
The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center is the nucleus of arts learning, training and access for Miami-Dade County’s African-American community. The Center promotes and fosters the rich, diverse cultural perspective of people of African Heritage through high quality instruction for children and youth in dance, drama, instrumental music, vocal music, media and visual arts; the nurturing of in-house performing arts companies; a residency program for emerging artists; as well as exciting performances and visual arts exhibitions for the public. 2015 marks a remarkable milestone for African Heritage Cultural Arts Center as it celebrates 40 years of community building through the arts.
The Center is managed by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs (www.miamidadearts.org), with funding support from the office of the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
