Event Details

Immerse yourself in the Yogalete Intensive Training, designed to meet the specific needs of all types of athletes. Whether you’re a teacher currently working with athletes, seeking to teach athletes, or are an athlete eager to learn about injuries and your yoga practice, the Yogalete three-day intensive training is for you.

Lizzy Chiappy, creator of the Yogalete program, is a certified E-RYT 200 and E-RYT 500-hour yoga instructor, personal trainer, and Pilates instructor. She has worked closely with a variety of collegiate and professional teams over the past four years. Lizzy created the Yogalete sequence and training with a combination of her extensive experiences in the health and fitness industry, leading over four hundred athletes in their yoga practice, and participating in multiple sports research studies with the University of Miami.

Participants will be given tools to effectively communicate, teach, and support athletes through prescriptive yoga. Students will leave being able to confidently deliver a yoga program that caters to athletes’ goals and current training regimens, while increasing their competitive edge. Students will learn the structure of the Yogalete  sequence and how to effectively deliver it to each sport. Participants will learn about teaching yoga to athletes in football, tennis, soccer, basketball, track & field/cross-country, ice hockey, swimming, equestrian, baseball/softball, dance, cheerleading, and lacrosse.

Yoga is a multidimensional tool. It challenges the body on all planes of motion and increases kinesthetic awareness, an integral component for professional athletes. Participants will acquire knowledge in the specifics to each sport, common injuries, areas of concern, and modifications for injuries/concerns. The Yogalete program breaks down the proper work-rest cycles that are essential for injury prevention while delivering powerful techniques to motivate athletes. Students will also learn various breathing techniques to incorporate into the sequence and useful business insights on how to run your own yoga for athletes program.
