Yoga and meditation prime the body and mind to enter a state of natural reflection. Additionally, grounding your experiences and emotions on paper is an effective way of clarifying your thoughts, ideas, and feelings. In this 2-hour workshop we will move, meditate, and map out the past year using journaling prompts and frameworks for sorting your thoughts about what happened, how you felt, and what you learned.
The yoga component will be accessible for all levels and no prior experience with meditation is necessary. Paper, pens, and snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring your favorite notebook to capture thoughts and ideas.
This workshop is the first session (of hopefully many!) that combines my personal practices of daily self-reflection, my experience leading teams through similar exercises, and the “real life” contemplations that I frequently integrate into my yoga and meditation classes. A complementary future planning workshop is planned for Sunday 1/15.
