Join me for a Yoga Workshop Weekend: Sat May 30 (Mysore Drop-in) + Sun May 31 (Learn to Lift Workshop). Register for one or both events!
Sat May 30: Specialized Mysore Program (in-person) Time: 9-1130 am EST (drop-in anytime)
2.5 Hours of in-person mysore practice (traditional ashtanga yoga) with personalized tips + guidance. All levels including beginners new to the practice- welcome!
Sun May 31: Learn to Lift: Arm Balancing + Inversion WorkshopTime: 1030am - 1 pm EST
This workshop will focus on arm balancing + inversions, along with some work / play with transitions within the ashtanga practice (ie smooth transitions to bakasana).
I will go over skills + drills + technique with a focus on bakasana, pincha mayurasana + handbalancing - the amount of time we focus on any of these areas will depends on the students' overall preference and type of class
Examples of postures / transitions to work on:
- Bakasana
- Pincha mayurasana
- Handbalancing
Transitions:
- Bhujapidasana / Supta Kurmasana / Titthibhasana to Bakasana
- Group choice (if any)
Please note that the workshop components may change as we will tailor it also based on group level and requests regarding areas of focus
What to bring: Active wear, yoga blocks (please bring if you have), water, pen + paper (if you want to jot down notes)
