Welcome to Yoga Sweet Yoga, weekly online Kundalini Yoga classes for all levels & abilities. Lead by Antoinette (AKA Karam Prem).

About this Event

YOGA SWEET YOGA

My name is Antoinette, my spiritual name is Karam Prem. I have been teaching Kundalini Yoga for 13 years, in gyms, schools & private spaces. For me Kundalini Yoga is an amazing tool to stay strong & keep up with the stresses & strains of daily life.

Kundalini Yoga (KY)

The great thing about KY is that it incorporates all elements of yoga; posture, mantra, meditation, breathing exercises & deep relaxation. It works from the inside out so although it may seem gentle & calming (at times) it is feeding your organs with oxygen, toning your muscles, stimulating your mind & connecting your spirit.

Each class follows the same pattern but is different depending on the Kriya, a set of exercises put together for a specific benefit, e.g. a chakra or an area of the body. Also, each teacher has a different energy so this will play a part in the feel of the class.

Our Class

We will start the class laying down, breathing deeply & allowing your body to relax. I will talk you through sitting up & preparing for the class, including setting an intention for the class, day, or week, entirely up to you, no need to share. If any of the exercises are challenging ask for an alternative or do your best but listen to your body, do not overdo it.

Tune In: We tune in with the Adi mantra ‘Ong Namo Guru Dav Namo’ meaning ‘I bow, or salutations to the divine teacher’ or ‘bow to the teacher within’. Chanted 3-5 times to connect to the divine teacher & everyone in the class.

Warm Up: A selection of exercises and or breathing exercises to prepare us for the kriya.

Kriya: We will work through a kriya (which will include postures, breathing exercises & mantras for a specific benefit), that I have chosen for the class.

Meditation: 3-5 minutes meditation linked to the kriya. This will be done in silence so we can connect with our breath, body, posture & mantra (if used).

Deep Relaxation: If possible, cover yourself & turn your lights off so you can relax. I will talk you through a relaxation, then stay quiet & play music for 5-7 minutes. I will then talk you through bringing your awareness back & preparing for the tune out.

Tune Out: We tune out with the ‘Long Time Sunshine’ song. Followed by Sat Nam (meaning True Identity) chanted 3 times to end the class.
