Event description

Description

Have you ever found yourself saying yes to a deadline when you meant no? Or, felt unsure of how to start a difficult conversation? Are there times when you need to be seen but feel uncertain? Or need to cultivate privacy in a busy environment? Come along to this yoga class with a difference.

Embodied Yoga Principles (EYP) draws on familiar and new yoga postures/forms to understand how each can support us psychologically and emotionally, as well as work on our joints, muscles, circulation and breath etc. In fact, EYP is the frontier where yoga meets self-coaching.

Expect some chair yoga for releasing tension, some standing forms like exploring the Yes Warrior, the No Warrior, Taking Space, and Self Care, as well as some breathing and mindfulness practice. This is an interactive session so expect also to be invited to talk about your experiences e.g. your familiarity of the feeling of a form, or your longing for less or more of this feeling in your day to day life. You'll also learn some micro-postures to keep in your pocket!

So, whether you'd admit to not knowing a yoga mat from a bath mat or you just lashed out on the latest nano-tech foam version, everyone is welcome!

No yoga kit or clothing is required just a willingness to remove your shoes; best to eat your lunch after the session.

There are 4 sessions planned: 6,13, 20, 27 June from 12.15-13.00 starting promptly. Please book each session separately.

Sessions are facilitated by Beverley Nolan E-RYT500, BWY-RT, IYN500, RSME/T (she has more than 30 year's teaching experience and is enjoying what EYP is bringing to her own established yoga practice).
