Event description

Description

2souls Yoga & Safari Retreat is an exotic adventure of a lifetime.

Date: 1 - 4 December 2017 in Kindara, Sri Lanka.

Skill level: Beginners

We observe that when we Retreat, it can become one of the most transformative catalysts for understanding ourselves, to gain context within life, and come towards our passions, dreams and purpose. 2souls Aurora Sri Lanka rests gently on 5000-year-old Ancient Wisdom within us, which is only recognised when we give permission to the alignment of our lives with Nature. Aurora supports the radiance of our inner engineering. Experience the richness of Sri Lankan spirit, through her flavours, her biodiversity, natural beauty, and through her song.

Take an inward journey designed by 2Souls that holds at its core, your aliveness of spirit, and positive growth at its central axis. Return home, to family and community reinvigorated, centered and inspired to bring a renewed brilliance into your life.

Where

The Retreat will be held at Tree Tops Kirinda Locality, close to the Yala junction. This Bungalow will be met with some of the most captivating moments shared with diverse visitors like Peacocks in the morning, birds, and possibly even some elephants if we we’re lucky.

Accomodation

The property embraces as much of the Natural environment, with open planned living, modern designed bungalow that embraces as much of the natural setting, polished concrete floors, comfy beds, floor to ceiling windows. and some of the most spectacular rooftop sunrises and sunsets. There are two sleeping spaces, one which can accommodate 6 shared, and the other which can accommodate 4, which is ideal for friends/ family travelling together, or for complete strangers to become lifelong friends, throughout the course of the Retreat.

Adventure 1 - Weerawila Bird Sanctuary

Weerawila Bird Sanctuary is a birdwatcher’s paradise, especially because it is close to the Bundala National Park, another site in Sri Lanka that is perfect for bird watching. What makes this location unique is its extensive sheet of water that attracts an amazingly diverse species of birds. It has several reservoir, such asKongahaWewa, DebaraWewa, MutiammaWewa, and TissaWewa, all of which provide a great nesting ground for diverse bird life.

Yoga Sessions

Yoga is a way of life, and not just a string of asanas. This journey into Yoga is perfect as a gentle introduction and to help restore balance back into life. As we begin the day with asanas this will help activate the metabolic process, increase strength, flexibility, circulation, a sense of aliveness for the day, and boost the immune system. Day by day, improve and removing toxicity from the body, and helping bring the mind/body/spirit into harmony.

Adventure 2 - Tissa Wewa Boat Tour

Tissa Wewa, an expansive artificial lake built by King Kavantissa in the 2nd century BC of the ancient southern kingdom of Ruhuna. The shore nearest the town is often busy with crowds of people bathing & flock of aquatic birds including bitterns, herons & egrets skimming across the waters. A beautiful walk leads along the massive bund (embankment) which encloses the lake's southern shore, shaded by a procession of majestic old trees.

Meditation Sessions

Meditation is seen as one of the most powerful instruments for helping people find their flow state, develop tolerance and a peaceful calmness within this frantic and sometimes chaotic lives that we lead. It is the most easily accessible sessions from restoring your native sense of orientation, and will be gracefully done in nature, to minimise stress, anxiety, worries, fears and enable clarity within.

Adventure 3 - Safari to Yala National Park

Yala National Park is leopard country, and they are the Lords of the Jungle! With a leopard density that's higher than anywhere else on this planet, these menacing predators prowl majestically in Yala, while elephants roam in their numbers with cautious deer scampering by their side.

Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka, bordering the Indian Ocean. The park consists of five blocks, two of which are now open to the public, and also adjoining parks.
