Yoga Nidra is an evidence based, guided meditation and practice of deep self inquiry that releases negative emotions and thought patterns, calms the nervous system, and develops a sense of inner peace and equanimity. You will be taken through a series of meditation practices that will develop your skills in body sensing, breath sensing, and sensing the passing of thoughts and emotions. This meditation will show you how to meet and greet some of life’s most challenging times gracefully.
This is a great class for people with stress, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and those that are experiencing symptoms of burn out at work or in life.
There will be yoga mats, blankets and bolsters available for use. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow you to rest at ease. Also, feel free to bring anything that makes you more comfortable while you rest on the floor and consider to bring an eye-pillow, your favorite neck roll or small pillow to support your head. You will need to set up your small personal space, so early arrival is advised.
